Investment firm American Capital Strategies has closed its office in West Conshohocken as a result of pressures from the credit crunch. Company officials confirmed all 11 employees were laid off and the office was shuttered last week as part of a restructuring plan where the Bethesda, Md.-based firm opened a second Boston-area office and consolidated its San Francisco site into Palo Alto and Los Angeles.
